Baby Ben

Babies are a special gift that make your life complete
they're the topic of conversation when friends and family meet

Babies add the spice to life and give your home it's glow
they bring anticipation as you wait and watch them grow

What could be more wondrous then welcoming a newborn in
and holding that tiny hand as you show him to your kin

Hold fast and close this moment someday when he's full grown
you'll look back in reverie at the memories you own

Darling Lily

Lily

A darling dancing dolly
with a pert and impish grin
the brightest ray of sunshine
that has ever been
She fills our days with laughter
she's in our dreams at night
having Lily in our world
makes everything feel right

Each day is filled with wonder
and promises of fun
for when Lily takes the stage
the audience is quickly won

With just one year behind her
she has many miles to go
but for heaven's sake and mommy's
sweet Lily, please grow slow

Our Alero

We owned an old gray Oldsmobile and it was past its prime
when Michael gave us an Alero, the gift was just in time
We took great pride in our new car and it surely served us well
if that old car had a voice, the stories it could tell
of trips to the emergency room, when our ills came in the night
and visits to our family, when the time was right
Pop kept our car in good repair, never let the gas run low
he wanted it to always shine, his pride was quick to show
But time and age overtook us, Pop's driving came to an end
and tho our car still ran fine, we needed to give up our friend
Our grand-daughter could use a car to drive her sons to play
and pick up groceries and goods, while her husband worked each day
So why not send our car to her, our Alero could still live on
adding chapters to its life before its usefulness is gone
